If you are looking for a specific song and can’t remember which ZIN DVD it’s in, this list should help. Just search for the song title.
Guess what. I finally got my application to the Zumba affiliate program approved. I’m speeding the love by sharing the code with you guys. If you order items from the Zumba.com web site, use affiliate code “CHING” (without quotes) to receive a 10% discount on your order. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with your ZIN discount. Sorry, fellow ZIN members.
Anyway, clicking on the picture below will automatically apply the 10% discount to your order. Happy shopping!
I ran into one of the students in my Zumba class, Gerald, today at Genesis West Central. I guess he just joined. We got to talking at the end of class. I was telling him how Amie’s class is super tough, but it’s an awesome workout. He said it will take him a while to get the hang of it. I reassured him that he will have the routines down after a couple of classes. He agreed. He told me that he had a hard time following in my class at first but it’s now his favorite. He told me that he liked all of the turns because, I quote, “It makes me feel like I’m drunk without drinking.” LOL. We all had a good laugh about that.

This is a photo of my class at Evergreen Recreation center. As you can see, there’s plenty of room. If you’re looking for a smaller class that will allow you lots of room for big movement, and where you can see what’s going on even when you’re at the back of the room, come check out one of my classes. Registration starts August 20. Classes begin September 11. Go to http://www.wichitazumba.net/schedule for more information.
My Fall 2012 Zumba teaching schedule is pretty much finalized. I will be teaching at both Evergreen and Lynette Woodard Recreation Centers. If you are unfamiliar with the city rec centers, feel free to refer to the map.
Here’s my schedule:
Classes begin September 11. Registration starts August 20. Call 316-303-8036 to register for my classes at Evergreen, and 316-303-8015 for the classes at Lynette Woodard. See you all soon!
So I have not been able to attend Amie’s Thursday night Zumba class over the last couple of months because I’ve been teaching my own Zumba class at Evergreen. As luck would have it, Thursday nights no longer works for Amie either so she’s decided to move her class to Tuesday nights (same time) effective next week. I was beyond excited at this news because it meant that I could start going to her classes twice a week again.
Well, my happiness was short-lived when I realized that I would only be able to attend for approximately four Tuesdays because beginning on Tuesday, September 11, I’ll be teaching my own Tuesday night class also. The best part (or worst part, depending on how you look at it) is that I will also be teaching on Sundays at the exact same time as Amie’s Sunday class.
Instead of of being able to go to Amie’s classes once a week on Sundays (since I’ve not been able to go on Thursdays), I will no longer be able to go at all. What luck I have! The perpetual optimist in me is thinking that, “Hey, at least I’ll be able to go twice a week for the next month.” After that, I won’t be able to go anymore.
Here’s my tentative schedule beginning on September 11:
I may be teaching a Saturday morning class at Evergreen also. It just depends. I’ll keep you all posted.
P.S. While I’m sad that my teaching schedule is now starting to interfere with my favorite Zumba classes, I’m actually kind of happy that I’m now in the green. I think teaching five classes a week will help me cover my ZIN membership fee and Zumba clothing expenses. ;-)
There’s a new place in town hosting Zumba fitness classes. It’s actually a nightclub, so pretty interesting setting. Check out Gina’s Zumba fitness classes at 54 Palms (4600 W Kellogg). Next week she’s teaching Monday and Wednesday at 6 PM and Saturday at 10 AM. Let me know if any of you guys want to check this out. If I’m available, I’ll go with you!

It was orange day in Gina Ann’s Zumba class this morning, but I wanted to debut one of my new destroyed shirts. So I decided to wear yellow shorts to go with my Flash destroyed shirt so I could still be in theme. Why? Because yellow and red make orange. LOL!
